Maria is a native Italian who lives in California and teaches in the US and internationally. She was trained in TRE by its founder, Dr. David Berceli in 2004 and she has been teaching his work ever since. Maria assisted Dr. Berceli in numerous trainings in the US, South Africa and Brazil reaching thousands of people as well as leading certification trainings across the US, Europe and the Middle East. On request of Dr. Berceli, Maria also co-created Neurogenic Yoga™, a sister method of TRE, which is using yoga poses and breathing exercises - instead of the TRE exercises - to elicit the body natural response called Self Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITT).
 
Her eclectic background includes living in several countries on 3 continents, learning 5 languages, working at the Esalen Institute - in Big Sur, California and practicing and teaching different yoga styles for over 20 years. Maria is also a practitioner and a teacher of Chinese martial arts and an activist for social and environmental causes.
 
Maria creates a supportive environment in her teaching, which makes people feel safe and she teaches with compassion and has a good sense of humor. Maria knows that TRE and Neurogenic Yoga are extraordinary tools for healing ourselves and the planet and that each person can benefit from them in a deep way. She is inspired by the feedback of her students and trainees and is passionate spreading these revolutionary methods for the good of all.
