Ellen Watson is celebrating her 35th year on the Healing Arts staff and faculty at Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA and her 11th year at BaliSpirit Festival!
Ellen, creator of Touching Essence, a multi-sensory, multi-cultural, shamanic approach to healing through touch, a senior trainer of Esalen Massage & Bodywork, and creator of Dancing with Rumi. Ellen has also been running the not for profit educational organization: MovingVentures International Healing Arts she founded in 1996.
Annually at the Bali Spirit Festival, Ellen offers instructional, participatory workshops in massage and bodywork along with an international team of men and women, certified in Touching Essence™, and Esalen® Massage & Bodywork. Each workshop includes: a short philosophical download & hands on learning in giving and receiving skilled and sensitive touch. Each student learns directly from one of Ellen’s faculty, and works in tandem. In addition, Ellen offers Dancing with Rumi, a dancing, spinning, poetic moving meditation practice.
Ellen believes that the core of all healing begins in the realm of heart and spirit. Among her great pleasures are opening the door for people to dance, to sing, to play and pray, to touch and be touched. Ellen and the faculty of MovingVentures offer residential retreats, certifications and teacher trainings throughout the year in Bali, Big Sur, and other inspiring global locations.
This year Ellen will co-teach a few classes with Kim Collier & Maria Alfaro.
