It is a collective, meditative and musical process for human development that transports us to an inner dimension where transformation and joy take place.

Taketina is a completely new way of learning, experiencing, and understand the connections among rhythm, music, and individual evolution. Our body is an instrument that creates rhythm at all times. Through the voice, the words, the claps, walking, breathing, we reconnect ourselves with the innate wisdom of the body.There are many levels to Taketina. At it's simplest it is a means of having fun with music from the perspective of the body.

Taketina does not simply promote creativity and musicality; rather, creative-musical learning is closely tied to the growth of human qualities. Two basic abilities in particular are of importance both within music and in daily life: flexibility and connection. This is an Exploration as well as a meditation, Tune in! Hum, Chant, Connect, Breathe.

Using a Shruti Box* to create a continuous low humming sound, also known as a ‘drone,’ we close our eyes ~ and go inwards.
In this workshop we connect with the different qualities and textures of our voice, our own tone and our unique frequency, We will use our intuition and follow our own rhythm. At the same time we are guided, we’re not trying to imitate or force; we allow our voices to open naturally with a touch of playfulness.

"Gong Bath"
 A gong bath is a form of sound therapy where the gong is played in a therapeutic way to bring about healing. The term gong bath means that you are bathed in sound waves, there is no water involved, or clothes removed.
Ideally you will experience the gong bath lying comfortably on your back on mats.
All you have to do is lie comfortably and close your eyes and relax.
Theta brainwave frequencies are most often where the gongs will take you.
You will most likely enter a dreamlike, deep meditative state.
Some people might enter the Delta brainwave state (deep sleep frequency).
Theta brainwave is a good state of consciousness to be in for healing to occur.
The gong is an amazing and powerful instrument for healing work; we recommend that you take it easy for the rest of the day to allow the treatment to continue to do its work. We also advise that you drink plenty of water!

Almunis a Colombian singer and songwriter, whose musical core is rooted in the immemorial ritual practices of the Americas. A graduate from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, USA; And Certified Sound Therapist from the Sound, Voice and Music Healing Program from CIIS in San Francisco, California, USA, Almunis has had a phenomenal global career both as a soloist and as a co-founder of the band Lulacruza, singing on four continents and recording more than 30 albums.

In 2016 Almunis united with her partner Marcus Berg (whom she met at the last BSF!!!). Marcus is a Swedish singer and songwriter who's been sharing pearls of wisdom from the Vedic lineage through touring the world with his bands Kultiration and Markandeya.

Marcus co-teaches the Embodied Voice Activation by sharing his reverence for singing as golden tool for self-love and expansion. They are currently working on their first album together under the name Minük, and co-teaching Embodied Voice Activations in Europe and India.

Matiu has over 20 years experience as a Maori language and performance teacher, he is a playwrite, musician, facilitator and leader amongst his own communities.

This interactive workshop will cover traditional Maori practices including the art of introduction, song, haka, sharing the breath of life, story and more. Participants will leave with ancient yet practical tools to support them in the way they stand, speak, listen, connect and move powerfully through life. This workshop also delves into the realms of the dance between the divine masculine and the divine feminine.
