Sufism is a journey to the self. A sufi is a person, a "heart seeker", who believes that the heart ( qalb ) is the center of human where they start the journey. Starting from the repenting heart, to experience calmness/happiness, to enter the level of sainthood, and to annihilate the self. To finally unite in existence with manifestation of Almighthy God in the form of His characters : Ar Rahman ( The Compassionate ) and Ar Rahim ( The Merciful ). The Love. It is expressed in one of Rumi poem, "Only from the heart, you can touch the sky".
Dzikir is one of sufism practices, it means rememberance of God by repeating His name. Sema/Whirling Dervish is dzikir in standing and by itself is a rememberance of death, to "die before you die". By repeating His name while spinning in anticlockwise direction will soften the heart, remembering the Creator, and generating the vibration of the heart to surrender deeper, and to experience Love deeper.
The session is a series of heart journey through sufism ( and yoga way ). Ujie will lead you through breathing exercise, intro to Sema ( philosophy - manners - practice of Sema ), and guided Heart Meditation.
