A workshop that explores back bending and heart openings.

Inspired by Nahko and the medicine people (Musician/humanitarian)
'I will only ever love you with my arms behind my back, because i'm gonna love you heart forward- that's all I know'.

My love of tradition (mantra and kirtan) modern music, sequencing and alignment is a strong focus in our exploration of heart openings. Suitable for all levels and prepares you to arrive exactly where you need to be. It is in the sacred geometry of the asana that we unravel, explore and connect to the heart which essentially is love and where we all come from. My commitment to this heart forward workshop is that you will work hard, have fun, explore your senses, go beyond the limits of your mind, flip your perspective and play.

To truly open our hearts we learn how obstacles from our past show up as a gateway to new beginnings and possibilities. Yoga has changed my life and opened my heart, it is in this space that I will support and nurture you to living whole heartedly with the purest of intentions for self growth, self acceptance and love.

Australia, Heart Forward
Tina Tainui. Born in NZ, 1966.Iconic NZ films: Once Were Warriors, Whale Rider and Boy encompass powerful themes and values that are raw, humorous, full of love and human spirit, akin    to Tina's own journey. Her history enables her to teach from the canvas of her life. Since Tina was a small child she has been searching outside of    herself for things that would bring self acceptance, fix what she thought was broken and erase the past. After years of repeating the same patterns Tina found her way onto the mat. Tina's journey and exploration from that point, shifted her whole perspective as she found her way back to herself. She discovered there was nothing to    change or fix, only everything to see, allow and hold. Tina believes that this life has been the bearer of the greatest gifts that she can see and    share, allowing her to connect people to their stories, showing them that they are the ladder up.Tina found her own voice as a teacher has been deeply shaped by mentors and friends Michael Franti, Les Leventhall, Chris Wilson, Dana Trixie Flynn, Deborah    Langley, Sharon Gannon, David Life and Ana Forest.Eternally a student, Tina's greatest gift as a teacher is connection, self acceptance, living passionately, wildly and whole heartedly. It is in this calling    that she has woven the story of her life, her love of music, and her totally raw, unfiltered offerings that will also bring you home to yourself. For more information about Tina, see...
