Ska is a combined musical element of Caribbean Mento and Calypso with a bit of American Jazz as well as Rhythm and Blues. This genre is unique because it the music has a walking bass line, emphasized with rhythms on the upbeat, perfect for dancing. The ska dance moves are upbeat, quick, exciting and humorous.
Reggae Foundation classes, features dance moves with a roots, rock, ragamuffin and Rastafarian vibe. Mainly ‘skanking’ (foot works) as well as, smooth, calm, effortless and natural grove done to reggae music which emerged in the late 60s after Rocksteady.
